It's not first come first serve

We will choose a family based on who we believe is the best fit. As adults get older, they have some quirks about them and I want to make sure people are ok with these things. Sometimes people want a perfect adult dog and that's not realistic. We have loved them for years and it's hard to let them go. We want to feel good about who they're going with.

A contract is required

A contract is required. You'll have three full months to make sure the fit is good. If it doesn't work out, you can bring the dog back for a full refund. The goal is to make sure they are in the best home possible. I had a bad experience with this in the past and don't want to repeat that mistake.

Must be within 2-3 hours of Topeka, Kansas

You must be within 2-3 hours of driving distance to Topeka, Kansas. Meeting the dog first is a requirement. (as opposed to just using a flight nanny) If it doesn't work out, the dog can also come back to me easier. Many of the adults won't do well on an airplane either since they've either never been, or haven't been on one since they were a puppy.
